Carpet grass grows in humid regions and is not a drought tolerant grass. It grows on acid (pH 5,2-6,7), non - fertile, wet sandy and loam soils, where moisture is near the surface most of the year and on soils too poor for other species.
Carpet grass is not very tollerant to shade and salinity but has a good resistance to most diseases.
Notes: Very fine and dense. For hot wet climates. Sandy soils.
