Berseem clover has a very rapid growth; it's best adapted to neutral to alkaline soils and has some tolerance to saline soils.
Berseem clover is a native of the Mediterranean region; it has a low resistance to cold climate. It is a very good feed expecially for the high protein level.
Although sometimes included in pasture mixtures to increse the protein content of winter feed. It does not withstand grazing well and is usually sown on its own (25-30 kg / ha).
Sowing in autumn and in spring. We can also obtain 4 cutting in the year.
